Dorset CPRE Mission Statement
“Dorset CPRE is a charity that works to protect the environment, to promote the best use of  the land, the conservation of the countryside, villages and towns from threats of over development, and to enhance the County’s natural heritage for the benefit of all.”

Ranked Branch Key Objectives for 2010
1.
To protect the Green Belt and the AONB.
2.
To influence the developing Local Framework Plans in each Local Authority.
3.
To support Affordable Housing.
4.
To contribute to improving the key elements of the Dorset Local Transport Plans.
5.
To promote the education, to raise the profile and improve the situation regarding Litter and Flytipping in Dorset through the DCAL Committee.
6.
To contribute constructively to the County Waste and Minerals Plans.
7.
To support Renewable Energy, but oppose wind turbines which damage the Dorset landscape.  

(Other possible campaigns: Travellers, Density, Building design, inspect all Planning applications, Light & Noise Pollution, Parish Plans, Airport, Planning Enforcement, Farming).

To recruit a Branch Treasurer

To find and develop more active, expert volunteers at Branch level.

To recruit and maintain more members.

To focus Branch resources and expense on key priorities.

To improve influence on Opinion Leaders using our database.

To ensure we are consultees on all County & District environmental proposals.

On 13 May 2009, CPRE published its vision for the countryside in 2026. Our vision is set in the context of increasing demands on the land for food, recreation, housing and energy.
