The DCAL Committee is registered on the The Litteraction website. The CPRE website is all about helping you to take action against litter. The aim is to offer you a range of actions that you can take, from joining (or even forming) a local volunteer litter-collecting group to collecting litter on your own to exchanging views on the Litteraction forum. Please contact us if you know of any litter hot spots in your area. Please also send us details of future litter clearing dates for your area.

The 22nd June 2010 saw 12 members of the Sherborne and District Society members of
CPRE collect 12 bin bags full of glass, plastic, cigarette packets and countless
wrappings, cigarette butts and empty bottles in a couple of hours.
The litter was collected from streets and alleys in the Simons Road, Blackberry Lane,
Bristol Road, St Aldhelm’s Road and Vernalls Road area.
Dorset Campaign Against Litter
The Dorset Campaign Against Litter (DCAL) Committee was formed about ten years ago by a group of campaigners from East Orchard who were appalled at the amount of litter appearing on rural roads around them. The Committee now meets three times a year in the Dorchester area and includes representatives from the Dorset Waste Partnership (DWP), Borough Councils as well as campaign groups. The Committee has achieved an excellent working relationship with DWP who regularly attend and exchange views on Fixed Penalty Notices and other matters.
